“Meet Us in 2027”: Tinubu Tells NLC, Makes 4 Crucial Statement

Ikeja, Lagos – President Bola Tinubu has accused the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) of playing politics with its recent protest against hardship in the country, adding that organised labour should know that it is not only the people’s voice.

The president made the remark at the commissioning of the Lagos Red Line Train, which connected Oyingbo to Agbado.

Four crucial comments Tinubu made in Lagos

Speaking further at the event, the president made another four crucial statements:

President Tinubu reiterated that there is no going back on the reforms his administration had embarked upon, adding that he had been resisting the “smugglers”.

He also disclosed that corruption is fighting back and expressed the commitment of his government to exterminate it.

Speaking on the current hardship in the country, which resulted from the removal of the fuel subsidies and the unification of the exchange rate, the president begged Nigerians to be patient with him, adding that “here is a very bright light at the end of the tunnel.”

Speaking about the redline train, the president said it was the culmination of his vision for the state 25 years ago when he was the state governor, calling on other governors to develop rail transportation development across the country.
